Snow Vs Bike

Hi Carbusters,

Here’s a picture from Berlin, last week. You can see how the snow covered the bike, not the car…

Or how the car gets always priority… also when there’s snow, people have to drive everywhere.

And the bike (user) is ignored, as many cycle lanes are covered with snow and often don’t get cleared.

A symbolic picture for the new year! Hopefully the balance will get better in 2011.

Hi. In this case, since bike is on sidewalk I think owner of the house is responsible for clearing the snow, right?

no no. it is not responsibility of the house owner. This “mountain”of snow comes from the snow-free-machine, the vehicle responsible for clearing up the street, so that cars can smoothly drive. Unfortunately the snow was just put aside – bad luck for the bikes
